Build a Niche Store Affiliate Contest

Build a Niche Store Process Series

September 30, 2007 | Author: Mark | Filed under: Build a Niche Store, Step by Step

As some of you are well aware - I am a big fan of the Build a Niche Store eBay affiliate script. Starting Oct 1st, I will be writing a 15-20 part series with specific focus on how I have applied my own knowledge and achieved moderate success with Build a Niche Store in less than 2 months!

The entire series can be followed from the Build a Niche Store - Step by Step main page. If you are not a subscribed reader, I encourage you to subscribe now. I will be posting at least one new page every day, with exception to the weekends.

There are MANY “Do it this Way for Success” eBooks on the web and this will differ in that I want nothing in return! You do not need to buy anything from me, pay a fee to read it, or do anything other than learn…

At this pojnt, there are 15 segments, but that may grow depending on how detailed I become in the information. Incidentally, if you have read ANY of my previous posts… you know I tend to go very deep into the details.

Looking forward to helping everyone - if you have any specific areas you think I may miss, please dont hesitate to mention it!

Table of Contents:

  1. Guide Summary and Timeline to Success
  2. Discovering Your Niche Market
  3. Effectively Researching Your Niche Market
  4. Registering Your New Domain Name(s)
  5. Hosting for your New Website
  6. Summary of Publisher Programs you Need to Join
  7. Installing the Build a Niche Store Script
  8. Creating a Niche Specific Directory Structure Part-1
  9. Creating a Niche Specific Directory Structure Part-2
  10. Customizing your Site to Your Niche
  11. Search Optimization of your Niche Site
  12. Adding Content pages to your Niche Site
  13. Promotion of your Niche Site
  14. Understanding the Needs of your Visitors
  15. Ongoing Maintenance and Care for your Niche Store

Is there a way to optimize the BANS meta tags? I need to upgrade the title, keywords and description meta tags. Your help is appreciated.

Looking forward for chapters 8-15 of your series. I have one store but did not get the time to work on it yet. Now, starting October 10 , I will have no excuse.

Thank you, Mark

Mark, I can’t thank you enough for this. This is incredible! Next to someone sitting right beside me, who could ask for more than this. This is going to be extremely helpful for those of us that are struggling to do this.

Hey!

I entered this page into Digg and started this page off! Do I get credit for all the Digg visits towards the contest?!
Thanks again for all you do!

Hi Ed -

Just be sure you can edit the url in Digg and add “addone?=Ed” to end of the string. This will assure you that all referrals are counted as yours!

Thanks - I will be posting the contest stats later today or early tomorrow morning!

Mark, I’m waiting with bated breath for your Contents 8 & 9. Will they be posted today? Your series has been invaluable. Thanks.

Hi Vivian - Thanks for the comment!

I am in the process of completing the Category Structure segment right now. It is going to be very popular and a long read… Start brewing the coffee now!

Okay, I started coffee on the stove. I have to tell you I found your first video awesome. You made it seem so easy. I had read the manual, but your video made it clear as a bell. Plus you show a couple of things I had not even known could be done, but which are super helpful. Thanks so much. You are removing the building blocks I have had with bans. Now you know why I can’t wait for your other steps. :o)

Mark, I hadn’t realized you had finished 8 & 9. I kept looking at the Table of Contents above for the links to be active. Wasn’t until now that I spied the side links. Read them both. Give your tired fingers a rest from typing. :o)

Hi Ed -

I am hoping to finish the layout/design today.

I had to make an emergency trip to Massachusettes where I have setup an office! LOL

My Father has taken ill… It set me back a few days for sure.

I am very sorry to hear your father is ill. I hope everything turns out OK for him - we’ll put him in our thoughts and prayers.

Take your time. We are anxious, but also very grateful, so do whatever you need to do.

Hi Mark where do I change the custom header background image to 1-pixel wide and 400 pixels tall.

Richard wrote on November 3, 2007 - 10:48 pm |

@ Richard -

There have been alot of questions in regard to the header background and how it was done.

I am currently working on the next series, which involves creating a custom template, and how to slice images etc.
