Domain Monetization Goals

Everything needs to start with a little planning right? In our case, we decided to set both short and long term goals as well as a put a process into place to track the results. This journal is going to serve multiple purposes - a way to record what we are doing for the purpose of replication and a way to track our results!

Monetization Goals :: Short Term (Throughout first year)

  • Registered Domains: 50 per month
  • Find niche market for domain name registrations
  • Developed BRANDABLE Domains: 12 each week (After template completion)
  • Domain Size: 10 Template based pages each
  • Convert existing domains with traffic into PPC machines as first template based system (4 in total)
  • Setup all domains on server AS THEY ARE HAND REGISTERED
  • Develop and record best practices for process mapping
  • Dedicate 1 hour every day (M-F) to the project
  • Dedicate 2 hours every Saturday to finish up weekly tasks that were missed
  • Generate 1 PPC per day, per domain, within 6 weeks of being active with adwords / PPC etc

Monetization Goals :: Mid Term (By end of 1 year on domain active status)

  • Registered Domains: 1000 within 6 months, end of year
  • Generate minimum of 10 PPC per day for 1 year developed domain
  • Create a running record of the domain monetization on a per domain level to attract domain buyers in niche market
  • Reinvest 15% of all income back into the domain monetization
  • Develop public domain portfolio

Monetization Goals :: Long Term (18 months and beyond)

  • 1000 10 page minimum, developed domains
  • ALL domains active for 6+ months and generating daily PPC activity
  • With records and tracking in hand - begin selling domains with traffic to highest bidders
  • Focus on Niche market buyers or a bulk buyer of all domains in one sale

Obviously - we will be adjusting these goals over the first 6 weeks of the project, to accomodate for changes - good or bad - we did not foresee.
